Job Summary
The World Bank is in search of a highly organized, energetic, and experienced individual who can effectively thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment to join our team as a Team Assistant. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager (OM), who will oversee the Team Assistant’s professional development and performance evaluation. The Team Assistant will play a vital role within the Nigeria Country Office’s Administrative and Client Support (ACS) team, providing essential administrative and client support to operational staff.
This role involves regular interaction with various institutional units, colleagues from different locations (both local and international), government officials, consultants, and external organizations.
Duties and Accountabilities
The primary objective of this position is to deliver administrative, logistical, and operational support to the World Bank Nigeria Country Office. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Operational and Administrative Support:
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of World Bank projects and activities, ensuring compliance with Bank procedures.
- Utilize desktop processing skills to create complex documents, reports, presentations, charts, figures, and graphs following Bank formats and distribution guidelines.
- Collect and input data from Task Team Leaders into the central database, including processing new project status reports.
- Draft meeting minutes and aid in the editing of extensive documents.
- Maintain organized divisional project files (both physical and electronic) and compile data from various sources for the Country Director and/or the Country Management Unit (CMU).
- Stay informed about the Organization’s directives to ensure the efficient processing of all project documents.
- Compose routine correspondence (standard letters, memos, faxes, etc.) in line with the Organization’s regional standards, ensuring proper grammar, punctuation, and style, while proofreading materials.
- Integrate agreed-upon comments into documents, fully utilizing shared drives and software capabilities.
