Job Overview
The Customer Care Representative will act as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, offering essential information, support, and guidance. This role demands excellent communication skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to handle various inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet patients, families, and visitors, assisting with inquiries, check-ins, and directions.
- Handle incoming phone calls, addressing general inquiries and directing calls to appropriate departments.
- Support patients with appointment scheduling, registration, and billing inquiries.
- Address patient concerns and complaints promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Clearly communicate hospital policies and procedures to patients and visitors.
- Update patient records, contact information, and assist in gathering required paperwork.
- Work collaboratively with medical staff and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive patient information in all interactions.
- Promote a welcoming and safe environment in line with the hospital’s mission.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role, particularly in healthcare, is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to assist others.
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally with a positive attitude.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with hospital management systems is preferred.
- Bilingual skills are beneficial.
