Job Description
Darey.io is seeking a skilled and passionate Data Analysis Instructor to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality data analysis training, managing learner cohorts, and continuously enhancing our curriculum and training materials. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and delivering a comprehensive data analysis curriculum, conducting training sessions, and providing ongoing support through our Slack community and Xterns platform.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Conduct dynamic and engaging Data Analysis training sessions, both online and in person.
- Adjust teaching techniques to meet various learning styles and levels of experience.
- Guide learners through hands-on exercises and real-world projects, providing constructive feedback.
- Assess and support learner progress to ensure effective learning outcomes.
Course Creation
- Develop video-based courses covering essential data analysis topics, including Excel, visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Collaborate with content and production teams to deliver structured, high-quality video lessons.
- Keep course content relevant, practical, and aligned with industry standards.
- Organize modules to ensure smooth, logical learning progression.
Cohort Management
- Lead and oversee training cohorts, ensuring a seamless learning experience.
- Align other instructors with appropriate cohorts based on expertise and scheduling.
- Monitor cohort performance and address any issues proactively.
Curriculum Development and Maintenance
- Continuously improve training materials, including slides, exercises, and projects.
- Stay updated on data analysis trends, tools, and best practices, especially visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
- Collaborate with content teams to develop new courses and update existing ones to meet industry standards.
Learner Support
- Provide additional guidance and support to learners outside of training sessions.
- Offer advice on career development and certifications in the industry.
- Promote a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Instructor Coordination
- Mentor other instructors to ensure high-quality training delivery.
- Lead regular meetings with the instructor team to share best practices and solve challenges.
- Assist in onboarding and training new instructors.
Quality Assurance
- Regularly review and assess the quality of training across all cohorts.
- Gather and analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement enhancements to elevate the overall learning experience.
Stakeholder Communication
- Provide management with regular updates on cohort progress and performance.
- Work with sales and marketing teams to aid student recruitment.
- Represent Darey.io at industry events as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, IT, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years in data analysis, with a strong command of related tools and practices.
- Proven experience in technical training, education, or mentorship.
- Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and cloud-based data tools (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate global learners and occasional travel to Yaba.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, AWS Big Data Specialty).
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and online collaboration tools.
