Job Position: Facility Management Assistant
Job Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Duties

The Facility Management Assistant is a crucial member of the Facility Management (FAC) team at the U.S. Consulate Lagos. The incumbent will:

• Serve as a security escort, monitoring and accompanying non-cleared visitors and consulate personnel in controlled access areas (CAA) and throughout all Consulate facilities.
• Handle customer service administrative duties for the U.S. Consulate.
• Collaborate with the FAC Residential Maintenance Supervisor, FAC Assistant Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (A/POSHO), General Services Office (GSO) Housing, and the Regional Security Office (RSO) Residential Security Coordinator to ensure that residential quarters adhere to Department of State requirements and standards.
• Be prepared to work after hours, on weekends, and during holidays as needed.
• Hold a Top-Secret Security Clearance to access CAA.

Requirements

• Completion of High School/Secondary School is mandatory.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in an office, management, or security-related role is required.
• Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, is essential.
• General knowledge of office working environments is necessary.

Skills and Abilities

• Basic keyboard skills and computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, are required.
• Numerical skills for quick calculations of personnel in cleared areas and accurate reporting are necessary.
• The incumbent must be observant, flexible, and service-oriented.
• The ability to stand or walk for extended periods and engage in physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces or inclement weather, is essential.

Salary

The annual salary for this position is USD $33,878.
